The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, led by its Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, has participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the 2026 Hajj operations between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement signed by the public relations officer of the agency, Malam Ibrahim Adamu Datti, the signing ceremony, held in Jeddah, was coordinated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Malam Abubakar was accompanied by senior management officials of the Agency and members of the Kaduna State Hajj Special Committee.
The statement added that the “the MoU marks the formal commencement of preparations for the 2026 Hajj, with emphasis on improved accommodation, transportation, feeding, medical services, and overall pilgrim welfare”.
Malam Abubakar reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to ensuring efficient, transparent, and pilgrim-centered service delivery, in line with the vision of Governor Uba Sani to enhance Kaduna State’s participation in the annual pilgrimage.
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency pledged continued collaboration with NAHCON and other stakeholders to make the 2026 Hajj exercise seamless and spiritually fulfilling for all pilgrims from the state.
