The Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs has dismissed a recent Sahara Reporters publication alleging that the state recorded zero capital spending on security, describing the report as “false, misleading, and deliberately crafted to misinform the public.”

In a statement, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs,Dr. Sule Shu’aibu, said the report does not reflect the reality of the government’s ongoing investments in the state’s security architecture.

“The claims are blatantly untrue. Governor Uba Sani’s administration has put billions of naira into strengthening security across Kaduna State,” Aruwan said.

“We have consistently supported security agencies with logistics, technology, and infrastructure to enhance their operations.”

He explained that the state government has made massive investments in surveillance technology, operational vehicles, communication gadgets, and community-based intelligence systems.

Recent interventions, according to the ministry, include the deployment of new Forward Operating Bases, 150 Hilux patrol vehicles, and 500 operational motorcycles to bolster ongoing operations against banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

Dr. Shu’aibu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens.

“Security remains Governor Uba Sani’s top priority. We will not allow false narratives to undermine the hard work being done to protect lives and property,” he said.

The Ministry urged media organisations to uphold ethical journalism standards, verify information before publication, and avoid reports capable of inciting public mistrust.
