Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on Saturday led hundreds of participants in the 10th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk organized by the Friendz Unite Association.

The vibrant walk brought together residents, health advocates, and youth organizations — all united by the message that “early detection saves lives.”

Dr Balarabe encouraged women to take their health seriously by engaging in regular breast checks and medical examinations.

“Breast cancer is not a death sentence when detected early,” she said. “We must make screening a routine part of our lives — that’s how we save mothers, sisters, and daughters.”

The awareness walk celebrates ten years of Friendz Unite’s outreach efforts, highlighting the group’s dedication to empowering women and promoting vital knowledge on breast cancer prevention.
