Gunmen have abducted a man, identified as Aminu Abdullahi, from his residence in Zawachiki Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday when the armed men stormed the community.
Residents said the attackers whisked Abdullahi away before security operatives could arrive.
Police investigates kidnapping
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the police received the abduction report around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday.
Following the alert, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kumbotso led a patrol team to the area.
The police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
According to sources, Abdullahi’s son, who witnessed the abduction, has given a statement to the police.
Investigators are using the testimony to trace the attackers and determine possible motives.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction, and the victim’s whereabouts remain unknown.
