The Kaduna State governor, senator Uba Sani, has officially welcomed a group of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers who defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC), describing the move as a significant boost to the party’s strength, unity, and growing influence across the state.

The event which took place on Saturday at the iconic Murtala Square was organized in honour of members of the National Assembly who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The event drew an impressive crowd of party faithful and supporters who thronged the venue to witness what many described as a demonstration of the APC’s unity and growing influence in the state.

Among the dignitaries present were the APC National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen; Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Liman; and the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas. Also in attendance were members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), state executives, and several prominent political figures.

Governor Uba Sani was warmly received by an electrifying crowd, as chants and songs of solidarity echoed across the square. The atmosphere reflected the party’s renewed confidence and strengthened momentum ahead of future political engagements in the state.

The lawmakers who defected include the Member representing Ikara and Kubau Federal Constituency, Aliyu Mustapha Abdullahi; the Member representing Sabon Gari, Sadiq Ango Abdullahi; and the Member representing Kaduna South, Husaini Abdulkarim Ahmad.
