Expelled National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has identified those he believes are behind the turmoil affecting the entire party.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television, Anyanwu accused the PDP Governors’ Forum of fuelling the ongoing crisis, according to reports.
According to him, PDP governors triggered the discord, noting that he would never accept blame for any of the problems facing the party’s leadership.
“The truth of the matter is that I will hold the Governors’ Forum responsible for whatever is happening to the party today,” he said.
The former Imo State governorship candidate stressed that some founding leaders had abandoned the party because of its worsening situation.
The expelled National Secretary insisted that the governors had previously suggested that the revised constitution should acknowledge the Governors’ Forum as a recognised organ of the party.
