Construction work on the Kwara Revenue House is moving at a steady pace and is now close to completion, according to a statement release by Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Fafoluyi said the Kwara State Government, under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, is delivering the project to serve as the new headquarters of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), with strict quality assurance measures guiding every stage of construction.

“The modern administrative complex is designed to enhance revenue collection, data management, and tax administration across the state, aligning with Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and boosting internally generated revenue.”

He added that the Revenue House, once operational, is projected to rank among the most prominent revenue administration facilities in both Nigeria and West Africa.

Residents, tax professionals, and public sector observers have welcomed the project, describing it as a major development for the state. They said it would offer a unified, professional workspace for KW-IRS personnel while deepening transparency, efficiency, and accountability in tax operations.

“Over the past six years, the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq has not only ensured timely payment and promotion of civil servants as and when due but has also prioritized providing conducive working environments for government employees.”

The statement noted that the new Revenue House aligns with broader reforms undertaken by the administration to modernise public service operations and improve service delivery across the state.
