Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has ordered the revocation of all land titles covering farmlands in Gadan Gayan, Igabi Local Government Area, previously allocated to investors without due process.

The affected farmlands, located in Unguwar Mai Babban Doki, Unguwar Malamai, Dutsen Wakili, Unguwar Allah, Unguwar Manti and Unguwar Chindo along Jos Road, were reportedly taken over without compensation to the original owners.

Under the directive, the farmlands are to be returned to their rightful owners, while investors whose titles have been revoked will be allocated alternative farmlands in other locations.

Speaking to residents of the affected communities, the Director-General of the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim, said the state government was fully aware of the farmers’ plight and had taken steps to restore their means of livelihood.

“The government has listened to your concerns and acted to ensure justice and fairness by returning your farm lands so you can continue your farming activities,” he said.

The affected farmers expressed joy and appreciation to Governor Uba Sani, commending him for responding promptly to their long-standing complaints.
