Governor Dauda Lawal has sanctioned the construction of a 95-kilometre road that will link multiple communities in Tsafe Local Government Area, in what authorities say is the longest single road contract approved by his administration in the locality.
The approval was granted during a State Executive Council session chaired by the governor at the Government House in Gusau.
According to the governor, the road will link communities across the eastern corridor of the local government, improving the movement of residents and goods within the region.
Lawal disclosed in a post on his social media handle that the council approved the project as part of ongoing efforts to expand road infrastructure in rural areas.
“The 95km road covers Yandoton Daji to Chediya, Doka to ‘Yan Waren Daji, Hayin Alhaji to Bedi, Unguwar Joji, ‘Yankuzo and terminates in Tsafe,” the governor said.
He noted that the project is expected to strengthen connectivity among the affected communities and boost economic activities throughout the axis.
