The United States Department of State has advised American citizens to leave multiple countries and territories across the Middle East, warning of “serious safety risks.”

In a security advisory issued Monday, the department named Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the occupied West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen as the affected locations.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar called on Americans to “DEPART NOW” from the listed areas using available commercial flights.

Since Saturday morning, Israel and the United States have conducted strikes on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior security officials.

In retaliation, Iran launched drone and missile assaults on Israel and US facilities in the region, leading several Gulf nations to close their airspace.

Earlier, the United States Central Command announced that six American service members have been killed so far on the third day of the joint US-Israeli operations.
