In a renewed push to advance the education sector, the Sokoto State Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education has reaffirmed its commitment to sustained collaboration with development partners and stakeholders.

The Commissioner, Ahmad Ladan Ala, made this known while receiving the Chairperson of Nigeria Army Officers’ Wives Association (8 Division), Chinnelo Iweora Koughna, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation.

Professor Ala emphasized that strategic partnerships remain central to the vision of Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto in transforming the education landscape of the state.

He disclosed that the government has invested over one billion naira in the renovation of Command Secondary Schools in Shagari and Giginya Army Barracks, alongside plans to provide new furniture to enhance teaching and learning environments.

In her remarks, Mrs. Koughna highlighted NAOWA’s commitment to promoting access to quality education for children within military barracks and across the state, while expressing appreciation for the Ministry’s continuous support.

The Permanent Secretary, Sanusi Aliyu Binji, assured the Association of sustained collaboration toward achieving improved educational outcomes in Sokoto State.
