Gov Abba empowers youths

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has disbursed empowerment packages to 1,130 graduates from six state-run entrepreneurship training institutes.

The presentation ceremony took place on Saturday at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, according to a statement from the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Reviving a Legacy of Skills Training

Governor Yusuf noted that the institutes were originally set up during Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s administration but were later shut down by the previous government.

He emphasised that their revival reflects his administration’s commitment to economic diversification and youth empowerment.

“This is about rekindling hope, restoring dreams, and unlocking the enormous potential of our youth,” he said.

“Today, each graduate leaves with both a certificate and the tools to begin their entrepreneurial journey.”
