The Kaduna Maternal Accountability Mechanism (KADMAM) has announced its readiness to collaborate with the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) to expand access to quality and affordable healthcare services across Kaduna State.
The Chairman of KADMAM, Alhaji Muhammad Garba, disclosed this during an advocacy visit to the Director General of KADCHMA, Mallam Abubakar Hassan, at his office in the Ministry of Health, Kaduna.
Alhaji Garba explained that the visit was aimed at exploring strategic areas of collaboration, particularly in advocating for increased funding and stronger government and donor support to sustain and expand the state’s health insurance scheme.
“As a civil society organization committed to improving maternal and child health outcomes, KADMAM believes that partnerships with key agencies like KADCHMA are vital for achieving universal health coverage in Kaduna State,” he said.
In his response, the Director General of KADCHMA, Mallam Abubakar Hassan, commended KADMAM for its advocacy efforts and ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes among women and children.
He reaffirmed KADCHMA’s commitment to working closely with organizations that share its vision of ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all residents of the state.
“Our doors remain open to partnerships that will help strengthen the scheme and advance the government’s goal of equitable healthcare delivery,” Hassan stated.
The collaboration is expected to enhance awareness, accountability, and community participation in health financing mechanisms, aligning with the broader objective of achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kaduna State.
