In a major step toward redefining access to education through digital innovation in Nigeria, across Africa, and globally, the Iconic Open University has launched its Ibadan Study campus, named ‘The Eve Campus’.

It becomes the institution’s second hub in the southwest and its first in Ibadan, Nigeria’s oldest city. “The Eve Campus”, unveiling was announced on the eve of the university’s Fall Semester 2025 examinations.

According to the statement released by the university management, the opening of the new study centre reinforces the institution’s mission to expand flexible education, enhance digital access, and ensure that learners across different regions can benefit from its blended learning model.

The development signals a major milestone for the country’s foremost private open university, extending its distinct approach of flexible learning supported by physical engagement to millions of residents in Oyo State and neighbouring communities.

Far beyond a conventional facility, The Eve Campus is envisioned as a gateway to educational access through distance and e-learning, giving students the chance to tap into premium academic materials, engage with fellow learners, and enjoy in-person instruction and guidance, while retaining the adaptability that defines the Iconic Open University’s learning approach.

According to the statement released by the university management, the campus will also serve as an academic support hub designed to strengthen interaction between students, faculty, and the university’s virtual platforms.

Situated in a central part of Ibadan, at Oke-Ado along Awolowo Road and within reach of the iconic Cocoa House, the newly introduced campus arrives at a symbolic moment, aligning with the institution’s major assessment period for the Fall Semester 2025, beginning 1 December 2025 across 71 centres in Nigeria and 15 international locations.

Its name, “The Eve,” was selected to commemorate this significant point in the university’s timeline, permanently marking the official debut on the eve of the Fall Semester 2025 examination.
