Iconic Open University has announced openings for qualified and experienced individuals to serve as Ad-Hoc Examination Proctors and Supervisors during its upcoming examination period.
The temporary roles are available across 20 exam centres in major cities including Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna, Katsina, Gusau, Kebbi, Borno, Gombe, and several others.
According to the university, the engagement is a one-off, short-term assignment designed to ensure the smooth and credible conduct of its examinations.
The exercise will run for four weeks, covering both training and examination periods.
Training for selected candidates is scheduled between November 15 and 30, 2025, while the actual examination supervision will take place from December 1 to 14, 2025.
Requirements and eligibility
To qualify, applicants must possess at least a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution along with relevant technical experience.
They must also have prior experience in examination supervision or proctoring, preferably within a tertiary institution.
Candidates are required to be residents of the listed exam locations and must demonstrate proficiency in computer and web-based operations.
Other key attributes include strong organizational and time-management skills, as well as integrity and attentiveness to detail.
Roles and application process
Successful applicants will be responsible for monitoring computer-based tests (CBT), enforcing exam rules, supervising candidates to prevent malpractice, and assisting in the handling of exam materials.
They will also be expected to submit detailed reports after each examination session.
Interested candidates are to submit a cover letter indicating their preferred exam location, an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of their academic credentials, and proof of residency such as an ID card or utility bill.
