Iconic Open University has obtained full accreditation for its Bachelor of Health Information Management (B.HIM) programme from the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN), a development that will enable students gain access to professional licensing and official indexing by the regulatory body.

The accreditation was confirmed in a formal letter signed by the Board’s Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Babagana Mustapha, following a detailed evaluation of the university’s department and academic programmes.

According to the management of Iconic Open University, the approval represents a significant achievement for the institution, described as a leading private open university in Nigeria, which has continued efforts to meet regulatory standards across its healthcare programmes since it began academic operations.

“With this accreditation, students enrolled in the B.HIM programme at Iconic Open University will now be indexed by the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria, a process that officially registers students with the professional body from the start of their studies.”

“Additionally, graduates will be eligible to sit for the Board’s licensing examinations, a mandatory requirement for professional practice as health information management officers in Nigeria.”

The management also directed interested candidates seeking admission into the programme to visit the university’s website at www.iconicuniversity.edu.ng or call/chat +2348142829382 for further enquiries.
