Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has arrived in Beijing, China, to conclude discussions on a model Integrated Poultry Development Project valued at about $200 million.
According to a statement, the project is expected to generate over $450 million annually and create more than 350,000 direct and indirect jobs across the poultry value chain.
It is also projected to strengthen food security, accelerate agro-industrialisation, boost exports and position Kaduna as one of Africa’s leading agribusiness hubs.
The visit follows his November 5 meeting with China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai.
He is accompanied by a Federal Government delegation led by the DG of the Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership, Joseph Tegba.
Sani said it will boost food security, agro-industrialisation and export capacity.
During the visit, the governor will meet with China Communications Construction Company and other key agricultural investors to firm up technical cooperation and long-term commitments.
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing Kaduna as the pilot site and commended the Chinese Government for its support.
